It’s really distressing how the cost of living is getting higher and higher everyday. The steep oil prices are causing a lot of distress to a lot of people, myself included. I mean, you work so hard each day and then you try to live off your meager earnings as conservatively as possible, but it’s always never enough. Not for us working class, anyway. When oil price goes up, everything else follow – transportation, food, electricity rates, everything except the minimum wage. Here at home, I’m only too glad that the weather’s been cooperative and I don’t have to use the airconditioning unit at all. In the past, it has been the cause of really, really high electric bills. But what can you do if you’re frying in the heat? It’s not as if our electricity providers will cut down their rates anytime soon. In the United States, people actually have choices on which electricity company they will sign up for. For example, Texas electricity provides people in that state several options. They can choose their Texas electricity provider depending on their individual home and business needs. And there are quite a number of Texas electricity companies, which allow people to cut down on their electric expenses by using deregulated electric energy.
I was watching an episode of a TV show I love these days and they have this story about how one day you find yourself not as fit nor in shape as you want yourself to be. I kind of relate to the character who has been feeling stressed and tired after brisk walking just a few feet, because most of the time I feel the same way, too. In between wanting to do some exercises and staying up all night to do stuff in the Internet or watch DVDs in marathon mode, I barely have time to even do some at-home stretching exercises, let alone realize my long-conceived plan of enrolling at the nearby gym. I’m back to my sluggish ways and to tell you the truth I feel so heavy and unhealthy. There are times when I fear that I may have imbalance in hormones, especially at certain times of the month. But mostly I presume my feeling lethargic is caused by an unhealthy diet for the most part, and lack of physical activity on the other. It’s hard sometimes to assess yourself if you’re just being paranoid and hypochondriac or if you’re putting off seeing the doctor when you actually have to. Speaking of hormone therapy, I remember hearing from a friend that such treatments (e.g., bioidentical hormone replacement therapy) sometimes cause dramatic weight increases, so I can only hope I won’t need to have that anytime in the future (we’re not going to talk about menopause here; that’s still too far). There are alternatives to hormone therapy like natural hormones, but I’ve read that drugs are not necessarily safe just because they’re “natural.”
I’ve opened an account on Ebay and started buying and selling some stuff late last year. I must say that I am thus far loving it. For one, I get to find good bargains. I even bought some used items – mostly just books and a few more items. I also was able to sell a lot of the books I didn’t want to keep. Buying internationally is also made easier.
Now, I’m thinking about how to expand an online business because a lot of people seem to be making good earnings with this sort of thing. I have friends who sell bags, lotions, perfumes, and other accessories and are making quite a good amount of fortune from it. But there are so many things to consider. Like how much would I be willing to invest on items that I would sell? Should I sell locally or both locally and internationally? Should I accept credit card payments or should I stick with money transfer? Or, most importantly, am I really sure about the safety of selling online, with all the scammers and people with bad motives in the Internet space?
One thing that I’ve read is a good idea is to sign up for a merchant account. A merchant account is a contract under which an acquiring bank extends a line of credit to a merchant who wishes to accept payment through card transactions. Many clients and buyers prefer to use credit cards in making purchases, especially online, because it is more convenient. Therefore, having the option to accept credit card transaction will definitely increase sales of any online store. Setting up a merchant account thus seems to be helpful. I’m going to have to check on all these factors before I try my hand on anything.
Now that the Australian Open is about to start in a couple of weeks, I’m thinking the betting systems are all abuzz with the odds system of who’s going to win the title this year. The best sports investment system are available online for such a purpose. Could be tricky, though, as there is no one person who appears to have all the advantage this year. In the past few years, it has been all about Roger Federer. You can’t bet agaisnt the guy, except, well, maybe for the French Open (Roland Garros), where Rafael Nadal holds reign. But this year, this year is different. Several guys have come forward and have proven their mettle. Novak Djokovic, the defending champion, for one is still improving and is a force to be reckoned with. Andy Murray, who has been going through a strict training regimen and has beaten Federer the last four times they met could be a foil for them all. The world no. 1, Rafael Nadal, may still have to prove his hold on the title against all these talented players but I don’t see him going anywhere either.
On the other hand, can you believe that you can actually invest is sports and make a living with it? It’s not just tennis, of course. Several other major sporting events have betting systems. The Web site that offers this is called the vestin sports investment system. You can try using their system for just $9.95 for the first month. What you have to do is to have a minimum bank amount of at least $500. You do not give them the money, rather you use it to place your own bets and then the system provides you with everything you need to know to make those bets and help you grow you bank account.
Last year, I’ve been having worries about my health when sometimes I get this sudden chest pains that do immediately go away. They don’t usually last long but for several days, I would feel grouchy, tired, and generally not well. I’ll get severe headaches and migraines. The last time I felt like that and went to the clinic, I found out that my blood pressure was a bit high, although not at an alarming level yet. Times like these make me think about the food I ate the last few days and the fact that I haven’t been active at all physically for the past few months. I also am a bit stressed out and not sleeping well most days, so I know what I had to do. Hay, I’m still very young (well, relatively) and I already have to suffer through this! I guess there’s no better motivation to be a health buff than actually going through some health problems. Better start early before I have any need for constant medication, or worse, treatments like chelation. Chelation therapy is a form of treatment that targets, more specifically “chelates,” calcium deposits in the arteries so the blood can flow freely to the heart. It comes in the form of oral chelation, which means taking tablets like any regular medicine. It’s not a drastic treatment as surgery is, but still, the best way to go is prevention. Start at the cause and then try to maintain living the healthy way.
